Valerie Hagen, PMP
Ms. Valerie Hagen is President at Allstar Tech. Valerie began working with Allstar Tech in 1990. Prior to taking the position of President in 1998, Valerie built the Automated Accounting practice at Allstar Tech from the ground up. Valerie continues to focus on helping small and mid-sized businesses get the most from their Information Technology through the strategic management of information technology assets.
Over the last two decades Valerie has developed a truly diverse portfolio of skills and experience. This experience translates into "real world" experiences which she leverages to avoid the many pitfalls that businesses face when automating business processes. She takes a results-oriented "business first" approach to automation. Her candid, practical and no non-sense project manager style gets the most value for the client.
Ms. Hagen's deep industry knowledge in Oil & Gas assisted Carson Energy to implement a strategic accounting application for its 200 million dollar operation. In particular, Valerie was recognized for leading Carson through the complex and challenging development of front-end accounting application which was adopted by Flint Energy after its acquisition of Carson in 2012.
Clark's Supply and Service is a long standing Allstar Tech client and a user of Sage ERP 300 (ACCPAC). Clark's focuses on delivering high quality water related products throughout Saskatchewan. Valerie worked with Clark's and centralized their accounting into the city of Moose Jaw. Today, Clark's five remote locations remotely access one centralized set of records. This has enabled management to service all the locations leveraging a single accounting repository.
Ms. Hagen conceptualized and developed a delivery mechanism design to preempt costly technology downtime, which she coined as "Virtual IT". Virtual IT is a subscription based support service that Allstar Tech has designed for small and medium sized businesses (SMB). The service provides remote support to SMBs that are dependent on their technology for business critical functions but may be too small to justify the cost of internal IT employees to maintain hardware, support software, administrate, plan and manage complex IT systems.
